"Gentlemen don't work with their hands..."

This is an English saying that goes back to ancient Greece in regards to a cynical view of the arts. To craft things with your hands was abased, far inferior from the free-man’s practice of “liberal arts.” While times have changed and there is no longer a substandard view for those who craft with bare hands, there is still a misguided preference for imagery and intellectuals who create ideas in clouds rather than those who work with the earth and give no regard to illusions. I strive to work with, promote and support these women and men who care for the earth beneath them, the history of their product and who devote themselves to their craft. I am blessed to have the fortunate job of getting to know these people and their wines and bringing them to the table to be shared and enjoyed.
